Security Officers may patrol on foot, in marked vehicles, or at managed stations to ensure security and protect client property. This may include high-rise office areas, professional ball games, construction sites, gated residential communities, manufacturing facilities, and others.
Security Officers may work full time or part time. Officers work often in the public view in office buildings, piers, plant areas, and at entrances or exits where they may be asked for help, directions, or assistance.
Security Officers may work Armed or UnArmed. Some positions require that the officer be armed. This requirement means more Security Officer training is involved and in many cases the wage reflects this fact. |
